Before Giving Review for Nine

Just feel like recording the experience of falling in love again. Never thought this could happen to me especially it's during exam time. My first impression when I first saw him was "Okay, he's kinda cute. And yeah, his acting is good." And then I tried watching the press conference of the drama that he recently starred in and from there I got to know that he's a singer. I was shocked to know that since I have never known him before, well given that I've never really paid any attention to the K-Pop world that much except for the group that I really like which are T-ARA, CNBLUE, NU'EST and SS501.

When I got to know that he's a singer, I had this kind of impression where I thought he must have been relying on his good look to be a singer. That being said, I thought his voice is not that charming enough to me. But little did I know that I was very wrong. I came across few videos of him singing solo as well as him joining a musical and I've got to say his singing voice is really TOTALLY different than his talking voice. Like seriously, his voice is full of cuteness when he's talking but his singing voice is deep and husky. Melt my heart straightaway. I also love how he always pulled off every theme perfectly. Like from the newbie look he had when his group debuted with "Mazeltov", up to the cool handsome look he had when they had a comeback as a sub-unit with the song "The Day We Broke Up".

His voice that melts my heart is a sure thing, but there is another thing that I like about him which is his expression when he's acting. Seriously, he has that vibe and skills that make his acting shine through just by expressing looks in his face. Tried watching the drama "Sirius" and you can totally see how he played two different roles brilliantly.

As Do Eun Chang, the twin brother who is a bad boy
As Do Shin Woo, the twin brother
who is a soft and quiet person
Do Shin Woo meeting his brother at the police station
Eun Chang surrendering himself for the unintended murder
Just by looking at the photos, the different expression is obvious right? That is the first drama of him where he starred as the younger lead role. But the drama that introduced him to me is "Nine: Nine Times Time Travel". The second drama where he played his role as the younger main role, Park Sun Woo. He's so sweet and soft in that drama. Now that the drama has ended, I'll be waiting patiently for his comeback on the screen either as an actor or as singer. And I want to save money to buy his albums as a support for him :)

Young Park Sun Woo trying to go for a date
 behind his mum's back

Young Park Sun Woo made up an exaggerating story
to skip from having dinner with his mum

His reaction when his mum found him in the cinema

Pleading for his mum to keep it a secret

Pleading his mum for just this once

Feeling bad when his mum left the cinema alone
Getting hurt while trying to save his father from fire
Telling his friend how he could have saved his father
had he listened to what his future self told him
The moment when he knew he's gonna die
in 20 years due to tumor
Taken aback at the unbelievable sight of his brother
handing over the hospital to the vice president
Diary is like his best friend, a memo to his future self
Leaving memo on the guitar to his future self

Thinking where else can he leave memo to his future self

Writing on the bedroom door panel

Message left on the stair bar

Writing message on the stair rail
The second last message on the end of the stair rail
The final message asking to keep his promise

The final message led to the old family picture
Few minutes before he met his killer, he was at the cd store
running an errand for his brother

"Can I ask you something?" said the killer

Taken aback when the killer knew his name and school

The moment he realised who was standing in front of him
That suspense look he gave is really cool

After his hand being slashed by the killer

"Why are doing this, ahjussi?" said Sun Woo innocently

The suspense moment when he was about to be stabbed

Managed to run back to the cd store but the keys
are too many to choose from at panic moment

As the killer drew closer to him

That frightening look he had when facing the killer
Trying to call police to be saved

Only to find he has no more hope as the police
could not be contacted

Starting to cry for his unexpected fate

Feeling rather safe seeing the killer is not outside

Checking if the killer is still around
Pulled aback when the killer re-appeared again
Begging for the killer to spare his life.
"I don't have any money..."

At the dead end

He ducked down to avoid being hit by the hammer

And then there came his savior, his future self

"Who could it be?"

The moment he found out who was standing in front of him

"You are alive? Why do you only appear now?"

"Why did that man want to kill me?"

"Dad was murdered?"

"Don't be carried away by hatred."

"Don't hate the murderer. He had no choice."

"Just carry on with your life like normal."

"Whatever it is, you'll be living your life just fine."

"You'll be just fine."

The first meeting with the reporter to give over the video

Jotting down the tragedy in the diary

"Brother killed Father."

"And I am the one who send his own brother to the prison."

"Sun Woo. Come out. I'm leaving..."

How could he face his own brother?

Of guilty and hatred?

Watching his brother from afar

Breaking down at his brother departure

That tears of regret and anger
"It's a secret."

"Don't hate your brother. It's painful to hate your own family"

"I want to be a reporter. I want to do what police can't"

"A smart student? That is just me..."

"A reporter with good look? Definitely me..."

Receiving the last message from his future self

"You just have to live your own life on your own accord"

"The decision that you make today will determine
what I'd be and my life over here"

"I am a man who keeps his promise. Goodbye"

"Let's meet again after 20 years."

"You'll see me when you look into the mirror 20 years later."

"Into the mirror..."
The cool look he gave while staring into the mirror

It looks like I'm quite late at falling for Hyungsik.

Well, I first saw him in the drama "Nine:Nine Times Time Travel" as young Park Sun Woo and was very impressed at his acting skill. At that time, I thought he's an originally child actor so I guessed it should be normal for him to be good at acting. But then, I tried watching the press conference of the drama and was feeling weird looking at how popular he was at the press conference when in fact, I have never heard of his outstanding acting performance yet. So I went to google his name only to find that he's ACTUALLY A SINGER, like an idol artist. I was bit surprised there but then I came up with a first impression that "He must have been relying just on his GOOD LOOK to be an idol." Because I was so curious at how good his singing skill is, I went to Youtube to search for all his solo singing and little did I know back then that I would fall for him head over heels. The moment I heard his voice in "I want it that way" that ZE:A did a cover for, I was totally blown away. Then I continued listening to his voice in "Beautiful Girl", "Snowflower" ,"Single" and "Min", I had confirmed myself that he's totally my bias in ZE:A. Then I bumped into the drama "Sirius" and he totally broke my heart with his role as Do Shin Woo and Do Eun Chang. He was all cute and adorable in Nine but in Sirius, it was totally two serious roles yet he pulled it off amazingly. Anyone would have thought he is originally actor unless he starts singing.

I am also impressed at how he's been growing up to these days. In pre-debut days, he was all shy and quiet and hardly got camera time but now he is the most derp one. Hehe. He is the kind that can pull off a cool look when he has the "Phoenix" or "Aftermath" hairstyle and can be so cute and adorable with his normal forehead-covered bang hairstyle.

I am a 91-liner but because I was exempted from attending Standard 4 in primary school, unofficially I am always grouped with 90-liners. I have never paid extra attention to the boys of 90-91 liners before but I guess Hyungsik is the first 91 liner to have caught my attention, though I am older by almost 11 months.

Hyungsik, fighting! You surely can go far with your talent and personality. :)
